What is Case Center?
Case Center is a cloud-based document sharing platform developed and owned by Thomson Reuters. The Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ministry of the Attorney General, in collaboration with Case Center, continues to develop innovative ways of administering justice, including facilitating new ways of supporting remote and in-person court proceedings. The platform is used to share previously filed documents and exhibits with parties, legal representatives and the Court, before, during and after a hearing.
Case Center allows documents in any file format to be uploaded into the platform. Parties, judicial officials and court staff are able to navigate and direct other people to specific documents, or sections of a document, and to interact with the materials. Case Center is available for people to upload and review documents at any time of day or night.
Case Center does not replace the requirement of filing court documents with the Court and does not establish an official court record. Parties must still file their court documents in-person at the court office, through the ministry's Justice Services Online portal in accordance with the applicable rules of procedure or as otherwise directed by the Court.
For additional assistance, please contact the court contact provided to you in the original email invitation to your case.
